ONAC is an automotive consultancy — we cover all things automotive and automotive-software related, from a single sensor signal to a full vehicle network, for projects of any size. These six areas are where that work concentrates, but most engagements draw on more than one.
CAN, CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay, SENT, automotive Ethernet, and more — architecture, integration, diagnosis, and reverse engineering.
ECU integration, sensor/actuator interfacing, and wiring harness diagnostics.
Capture systems, telemetry, remote file analysis, and turning multi-source data into engineering answers.
Noise, vibration and harshness measurement, analysis, and diagnosis — a discipline in its own right.
Handling, ride, and chassis behaviour — assessed against real data, not just a spec sheet.
Bespoke desktop, embedded, and cloud applications — including tools like ONAC Network Studio.
The bus is where every other system's data actually lives. We design, integrate, and troubleshoot the networks that carry it — from a single sensor link to a multi-bus vehicle with gateways bridging half a dozen different protocols, on projects of any scale.
From the sensor to the connector to the ECU pin — we work at the electrical level as much as the protocol level, interfacing with and validating the electronics already on a vehicle or test rig rather than designing new hardware from scratch.
Capturing the data is the easy part. The value is in synchronising it across sources — network traffic, video, analog sensors — and turning it into an answer to a specific engineering question, not just a chart.
This is the same discipline behind ONAC Network Studio, our capture and analysis platform for aftermarket and OEM use — see the projects page for what it can do.
Already have vibration or acoustic recordings from your own measurement? Our remote analysis service covers NVH data just as it does vehicle data — send us the files and we'll diagnose from there.
A standalone engineering discipline in its own right — measurement, analysis, and root-cause diagnosis of noise and vibration issues, with its own instrumentation and methods.
Handling, ride, and chassis behaviour — assessed against real logged data from the vehicle, not just simulation or a spec sheet.
Vehicle dynamics work leans heavily on the same capture and analysis platform as our data logging & analysis service — the two are usually engaged together.
ONAC Network Studio isn't just a product we sell — it's proof of what this side of the business builds. If you need something in that same space built specifically for your vehicle platform, workflow, or hardware, that's a service we offer directly.
That's a bespoke software development engagement, not a project license.
Start a conversationWhether it's a big programme or a small, specific task, most engagements touch more than one of these areas — tell us what you're working on and we'll help scope it.
